🔹 Past Simple (Pasado simple)

Use it to talk about actions that happened in the past.
Usa el pasado simple para hablar de acciones que ocurrieron en el pasado.

Structure / Estructura:

• Affirmative: Subject + Verb (past form) + complement

  I visited Bogotá in 2022.

• Negative: Subject + did not (didn’t) + Verb (base form)

  I didn’t travel last year.

• Question: Did + Subject + Verb (base form)?

  Did you study English yesterday?

Examples:
✅ I watched a movie yesterday.
✅ I went to the park last weekend.
✅ I didn’t play soccer on Sunday.

🔹 Prepositions of Time (Preposiciones de tiempo)

Use them to say when something happened.
Úsalas para decir cuándo ocurrió algo.

• in → months, years, seasons, long periods

  in 2010, in July, in the morning

• on → days and dates

  on Monday, on my birthday, on July 5th

• at → specific times

  at 7 o’clock, at night, at noon

Use them to connect ideas.
Úsalas para unir ideas.

• and → to add information

  I studied English and practiced pronunciation.

• but → to show contrast

  I was tired, but I finished my homework.

• or → to show options

  Do you prefer coffee or tea?

• because → to show reason

  I stayed home because it was raining,
